Lá está... por mais lendário que seja, já não é jogador para titular. À excepção da saída do Pjanic, pouco mudará no esquema da Roma.

A parte do "mau era" foi mesmo pelo Paredes e não tanto pelo Totti.
Só peço é que o Spalletti tenha consciência esta época e dê os 30 minutos da segunda parte ao Totti, já se viu que ele continua a ter mais futebol só no pé esquerdo que muitos algum dia sonham ter.

Do Paredes não direi muito, não o conheço ao ponto de dizer se serve ou não. Mas o Totti, claramente, não dá para 90 minutos. A menos que queiram que ele morra.

O Paredes apesar de ter imensa qualidade ainda é um miúdo, sim tem 22 anos ok, mas quando tens De Rossi para a posição.. e ainda há o Vainqueur(apesar de ver mais qualidade no miúdo).
Pode efectivamente jogar mais adiantado.. mas again, Strootman para a posição.. pena o Uçan não ter ficado tho, reparei agora que o Keita não renovou.
Para a posição do Pjanic é a que estou mesmo mais descansado.. Ninja e Gerson, com Perotti e Ponce a puderem jogar lá.

Duvido muito que o Paredes não seja titular. Ou que mesmo não sendo escolha inicial não vá acabar por ganhar o lugar mais cedo ou mais tarde.

1992-1997 — Promising striker

It was Vujadin Boskov who gave Er Pupone his debut, replacing Ruggiero Rizzitelli in a 2-0 win at Brescia in 1992, but Totti first came to prominence playing as a second striker under Carlo Mazzone.
“At that time I liked providing goals for my teammates,” Totti explained to Roma’s official website in 2015. “My job was to set up as many goals for them as possible. I enjoyed setting them up more than I did scoring myself.” His first goal for the Giallorossi arrived against Foggia on the first day of the 1994-95 season, with Totti taking advantage of his deeper role to run onto a knock-down and finish with his left foot.
However, the youngster scored just 11 Serie A goals in three seasons, and was even almost sold to Sampdoria by Carlos Bianchi. “If I had gone, I wouldn’t have come back” Totti later told La Gazzetta dello Sport. Fortunately for him and his club, the first revolution of his nascent career was just around the corner.

1997-1999 — Tricky winger

The summer of 1997 saw the arrival at Trigoria of Zdenek Zeman, the chain-smoking Czech Coach who had led Foggia from Serie C to the brink of Europe with his all-out attacking style. “If you score 90 goals,” the tactician once said “you shouldn’t worry about how many you concede.”
Zeman stuck rigidly to an ultra-offensive 4-3-3 and Totti was deployed on the left, given licence to cut-in on his right foot and run at the opposition goal. It was a sign of Zeman’s trust that the 21-year-old was handed the number 10 shirt and Er Pupone immediately repaid that faith, hitting double figures for the first time in his career with 13 Serie A goals as Roma finished fourth.
The results of both his new role and the attacking style of the team were clearly visible. A Week 8 trip to Bari brought one of the best goals of Totti’s career, ghosting in from the left-wing to meet Damiano Tommasi’s cross with a scorching volley. Week 27 saw him outpace the Parma defence to score one of his trademark chips on his left-foot, three weeks later he twisted inside the Sampdoria backline to score with his right.
In Zeman’s first two seasons with the Giallorossi, Totti hit 30 goals and was made Serie A’s youngest-ever captain, and the Czech retains huge affection for his protege. “Who are the five best Italian players?” Zeman was once asked. His reponse? “Totti. Totti. Totti. Totti. Totti."
Despite a fifth-place finish in 1998-99, Zeman was replaced by Fabio Capello, but Totti the goalscorer had been born.

1999-2005 — Trequartista extraordinaire

Capello, it is fair to say, doesn’t quite share the swashbuckling approach of Zeman, and his arrival brought another change of role. At 5ft 11 and having worked hard to gain muscle and stamina in Capello’s first season, the 24-year-old Francesco had become a lot more physically imposing by the 2000-01 campaign.
Totti’s greatest rival both domestically and internationally throughout his career was arguably the Juventus forward Alessandro Del Piero, with the pair tussling for Scudetti and an Italy starting shirt. In a later spell at Juventus, Capello would frequently bench Del Piero in favour of the more muscular David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but Totti had no such problems.
Played in a trequartista role, Totti was tasked with providing the artistry which would complement the power of Gabriel Batistuta and the hard work of Marco Delvecchio - Vincenzo Montella would force his way into the team in the second half of the season, having initially been considered too small and weak by the Coach.
“He thinks fast and knows what the striker wants because he’s also one himself,” Batistuta explained to Four Four Two earlier this year. “He used to dummy defenders, break, accelerate, dribble. He made my knees ache!”
With Totti loading the bullets, Batistuta hit 20 Serie A goals, Montella notching 14 and Totti himself weighing-in with 13. Totti captained his beloved club to the Scudetto - pipping Juventus and Del Piero in the process.
Despite Totti maintaining his excellent goalscoring record thereafter - including a then-best tally of 20 in the 2003-2004 season - his relationship with Capello became strained. The Coach left to join Juventus in the summer of 2004, and the Giallorossi slumped to eighth, despite Totti’s 15 goals. After Rudi Voller, Ezio Sella, Luigi Del Neri and Bruno Conti couldn’t turn things around, a Coach called Luciano Spalletti arrived from Udinese.

2005-2013 — Pioneer of the False 9

Insofar as any team can be said to “invent” a tactic or a role, Vicente Del Bosque’s Spain are generally credited with the creation of the “False 9” at the 2010 World Cup, at least in its modern variant.
In fact, Totti had pioneered the style years earlier under Spalletti. The Coach was on the verge of being dismissed in the 2005-06 campaign, having collected just five wins from his opening 16 League games. With nothing to lose, he pushed his captain further up the pitch for a game against Sampdoria.
On paper, Spalletti’s system could have been read as a 4-6-0, but it was far from defensive. Roma would deploy two attacking full-backs, two wingers and an attacking midfielder, with Totti as the spearhead.
The captain, used to playing as a trequartista, would drop deep to receive the ball, drawing the defence out with him. That would allow the likes of Amantino Mancini and Rodrigo Taddei to find space in behind, at which point Totti or Simone Perrotta could pick them out with a pinpoint pass. Then, with the defence retreating, the two central players could advance on the penalty area to finish off the move.
The Sampdoria game ended in a draw, but the switch subsequently brought a run of 11 consecutive wins, a record at the time. Understandably Spalletti stuck with the formation, and Totti had the best goalscoring season of his career in 2006-07 with 32 in all competitions, as well as 15 assists.
Despite Spalletti’s resignation in 2009, subsequent Coaches continued to use Totti his new position, and he continued to deliver, only failing to reach double figures in 2011-12 when Luis Enrique returned him to trequartista.
However, aside from a heroic run under Claudio Ranieri which almost pipped Inter, the Lupi struggled in the League and would not get back to challenging for the Scudetto until the arrival of Frenchman Rudi Garcia. With Totti now in the twilight of his career, did he have one more reinvention in him?

2013-present — Super sub

Previously the star of the side, the modern day Totti is one of brilliant cameos. The 2013-14 season saw Roma win their first 10 matches, and they finished the campaign on 85 points, beaten only by Antonio Conte’s Juventus who won 33 of their 38 games to take 102 points.
Totti played an average of 65 minutes in his 26 games, making 20 starts. Clearly, he was no longer able to deliver for 90 minutes every week, but he made the most of his time on the pitch by scoring eight goals and setting up 10.
After another second-place finish in 2015, poor form at the start of last season saw Garcia sacked, with Spalletti returning to replace him. However, the returning tactician couldn’t find a place for Totti in his side.
With his contract due to expire at the end of the season and without any playing time, Totti was banished to the stands after criticising the club and Coach in a television interview. “The King of Rome has been exiled” declared Gazzetta dello Sport, as it appeared Totti’s career at the Olimpico was set for an acrimonious ending.
Just as he always had been though, Totti was there when the Giallorossi needed him. 3-2 down at Atalanta in April, Totti scored an 86th-minute equaliser. After coming on at 2-1 down in the 84th minute against Torino, Er Pupone scored twice to win the game. All-in-all, the captain provided four goals in the final six matches of the season, each of them as a substitute.
A one-year contract extension followed, and Totti may not be done there. Against Sampdoria in Week 3 of this season he turned a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win with a goal and an assist.
“The pitch is what decides,” Totti said after the match. “If I am in this condition and have the right mentality, why stop?”

Isto foi no ano do Scudetto que fugiu.. para o Inter de Mourinho graças a Pazzini (que iria para o Inter na época seguinte).
Eramos lideres por um ponto à 35ª jornada, quando perdemos em casa por 1-2 frente à Sampdoria (que viria a acabar em 4º), Totti adiantou a Roma aos 14' mas Pazzini bisou (52' e 85') para dar aos visitantes os 3 pontos. Depois dessa derrota seguiram-se vitórias frente a Parma (1-2), Cagliari (2-1) e Chievo (0-2) que viriam a ser insuficientes uma vez que o Inter também soube ser eficaz..

Fabio Capello was there with the Sensi family, but it was a very odd time between me and the club, as some things weren’t going the right way. I had asked for some specific things and they seemed to ignore my expectations.

Real Madrid were pushing at all costs for me to come and play for them. It was the only club in the world that I would’ve, albeit with sadness in my heart, left Roma for.

I did think about it very seriously. However, fortunately, my family, friends and wife helped me to understand many things and I remained here. I consider that a great thing.

Would I have gone? I can say no now, but at that moment I was pretty decided. It wasn’t going to be leaving for a normal team, but for the best in the world."

Totti even reveals he financially contributed to the club when the Sensi family was struggling to keep it afloat.

“It’s something not everyone knows, as I wanted to help the Sensi family for all they had done. I am happy it didn’t really hit the headlines or get talked about, because I did it for the team, the colours I always loved and for the Sensi family, who treated me like a son.

In my view when there is respect, there is everything. They always respected me and I tried to give something back, for what I could."

How does the future look in Totti’s mind?

“I don’t know what the future holds, but I know it’ll be another life and another interesting career. I hope to remain for ever at Roma. That is my desire and I want to help the club that I spent most of my life with. I’ll be truly happy if I can help Roma.

Would I like to be a Coach? On the one hand yes, but at this moment I am not thinking about it, because with my character I’d probably struggle to control a group. However, seeing all my former teammates who have just stopped playing and taken up that career path, I get the feeling something does click within you. Maybe it’ll click within me as well.

Maybe I’ll change my personality and way of dealing with many things.”7
